The Sellout

Paul Beatty’s Man Booker-winning novel is odd to say the least and it was at least 100 pages before I was really on board with the story. And by that, I mean it was at least 100 pages before I even knew what was happening. Once I knew where I was this story really started to click for me and I found myself in the middle of a strange story of a nameless narrator who is determined to bring back segregation and slavery back to his Los Angeles neighbourhood.
